Ibn Khaldun


Ibn Khaldūn or Ibn Khaldoun (full name , ) (May 27, 1332/732AH – March 19, 1406/808AH), was a famous Arab Muslim historian, historiographer, demographer, economist, philosopher and sociologist born in present-day Tunisia. He is regarded as a forefather of demography,[1] historiography,[2] philosophy of history,[3] and sociology,[1][3] and is viewed as one of the forerunners of modern economics. He is best known for his Muqaddimah "Prolegomenon".
